“His Growth Makes Me Believe In Miracles” – Singer, Davido Expresses Pride In Rema Over His Latest Achievement (Video)

Nigerian singer, Davido has declared that he is proud of his junior colleague, Rema.

He said this while speaking in an interview with Kiss FM, a radio station in the UK.

Recall that Rema made history on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts with his single ‘Calm Down’ remix peaking at number eight on the chart. The song, which features US RnB singer Selena Gomez,  is now the highest-charting Afrobeats song in the history of the chat.

Speaking in the interview, Davido revealed that he is Proud of Rema and that the singer’s story would make you want to believe that miracles happen.

The singer recalled how he first met the Rave Lorde in 2018.

According to him, D’Prince brought Rema to his house and at the time, he was so shy that he couldn’t muster his words right and just sat down quietly in his living room.

He said, “I saw Rema in New York two days ago. And I hugged him and I was like ‘I’m so proud of you’. Because I remember like him coming to my house with D’Prince back then. And chilling quiet in my living room. He didn’t say a word, not knowing that he is going to have the highest charting Afrobeats song ever [on Billboard Hot 100] with ‘Calm Down’ with Selena Gomez. That is crazy!”

“You know, he’s just a kid from Benin and then you see that happen, it makes you like believe in miracles,” he added.
