How making ‘Timeless’ album healed me — Davido recounts

Davido, the popular Nigerian singer, has opened up about how making his album “Timeless” helped him heal from the loss of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who passed away in October 2022.

In an interview with Apple Music 1, the music star revealed that he recorded a significant portion of the album in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his family.

This intimate setting provided him with a sense of peace and allowed him to pour his heart and soul into the music.

Davido described creating of the album as a form of therapy.

“I actually recorded most of the album in my house where I live with my wife. At the time, it was really only me, her, and her sisters, and I had one of my boys staying with me. It gave me time to really calm down. It was a healing process, because I was happy to be making music. I was excited about it. I felt like an artist that had just got a record deal.” He said.
