A man, known as @jon_d_doe on X, shared a sweet story of how his girlfriend’s kindness early in their relationship convinced him she was the one for him.
During their school days, his then-girlfriend gave him N1,000 to help him buy food for his family.
This act of generosity, which happened just two weeks into their relationship, showed him that she was someone he could always depend on.
Years later, now happily married, the man reminded his wife of the incident. While she playfully pretended not to remember, her smile gave away her true feelings.
“I decided to marry my wife when she gave me N1,000 in school so I could go to my village to get some food supplies,” he wrote. “This was like two weeks after we started dating. I told her this for the first time yesterday, and she acted like she didn’t remember. But she was smiling.”
