Netizens have dragged Nigerian singer, Wizkid following his recent comment on rap music in Nigeria.
During a recent interview with 10 magazine, Starboy stated that he doesn’t listen to rap music.
According to him, Rap music in Nigeria is “dead and boring”.
Giving his reasons for saying so, Wizkid stated that rappers always follow the same method and rap on the same beats and the same flow.
“Afrobeats is the new pop.” He said “I said two million copies in America off of one song! Even some American artists don’t have a diamond record. If I’m being honest. I don’t listen to any other genre of music anymore.
I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows”.
His outburst angered Netizens as they took to social media to drag him.
