A Nigerian bride has died a few hours after her wedding ceremony in Lokoja, Koji state capital.
The sad news was shared by a Twitter user.
The Twitter user revealed that the deceased’s wedding ceremony was held on Saturday, April 29.
However, during the ceremony, the bride whose identity is unknown yet complained about pains in her stomach.
As the pain intensified, the bride was rushed to the hospital and the doctor administered a diclofenac injection.
Her condition worsened and she was referred to the Federal medical center where they diagnosed that she had internal bleeding and needed urgent operation.
Sadly, she did not survive the procedure.

“This lady’s wedding took place in Lokoja on 29th April. She was said to be complaining of stomach pains right from the reception, and was given coke to drink when she said she hadn’t eaten all day, the pain persisted when she got back to her parent’s home while receiving prayers/blessings from her parents before conveying her to her husband’s house as tradition required. She was eventually rushed to a private hospital and the doctor on duty administered a diclofenac injection. The situation got worse and she was referred to the Federal medical center where they diagnosed that she had internal bleeding and needed urgent operation.
This beautiful young lady didn’t make it after the operation. What a sad day for the parents and groom. May God help us 🙏”.
