On Tuesday, the FCT Upper Court remanded Hauwa Saidu, aka Jaruma, in the Suleja jail in Abuja. Jaruma was detained in response to a plea filed by billionaire Ned Nwoko, the spouse of Regina Daniel, her former brand influencer. According to BBC Pidgin News, Jaruma was charged with defamation of character, criminal intimidation, harmful lying, and broadcasting misinformation to urge the public to dislike Nwoko. Jaruma has entered a not-guilty plea to the accusations. On Friday, her bail application will be considered.
